Meet Me Here... On Sunday
Feast/San Antonio

Feast/San Antonio

We work hard.... to play hard. My kind of play is splurging in FOOD. If we have had the opportunity to have a conversation... it probably consisted of a lot of giggles and then somehow ended by talking about food. Those are my favorite conversations.

So lets talk about it.

Sunday is here!!!! Where will you go for brunch?! Send me your favorite brunch spots! I want to go! Right now I am visiting Feast and Paramour pretty often.

I love Feast for several different reasons- The AMAZINGLY satisfying food, the mimosas, those super dangerous corn dog pancake thingies that I shouldn't be eating... but keep eating as my boyfriend looks at me like.... "Ummmm girl please stop!" Also--- Feast takes reservations. Thank you kindly. I appreciate that.

After your 3 hour visit at Feast- because yes a lot good times and socializing is happening... or maybe you are like me- ordered the Eggs in Hell... loved it but the girl across the way ordered the pancakes and you want that too... So something magical happens and you are no longer full so you say why not?! Let's order that too. Maybe get up go to restroom, pretend that you sat down again at table for first time- just so you feel good about yourself then eat the entire plate of pancakes too.

OKAY!!! Soooo after all of that............... then head over to Paramour! Spring is right around the corner and this rooftop bar is one of my favorites not because of their drink menu but because of the design. Just so happens they also have a good drink menu. Let us not forget to mention with all the new Spring arrivals we have coming in--- you will have tough time deciding which pics to post... because you will want to post them all in your cute outfits!!! XOXO

Like seriously--- take a look at my Instagram worthy pics of Feast and Paramour and tell me you don't want to go there now.

My New Years Day was spent walking around market and purchasing skulls I had been on a search for. My boyfriend and I began to think- why is everyone raising eyebrow to us carrying multiple skulls around? What does this mean to people, especially on New Years Day? We saw them beautiful, but what did everyone else think of our collection?

I am very excited to bring to you The Southern Bunny- Bone Collection.... couture bones, designed for you- by me. In the next few weeks I will be designing these skulls and creating one of a kind pieces available for decor and tradition.

The meaning of these bones...

Usually the skull means death. For most people- that may mean something negative, but to me- it means a new beginning. These skulls are of gentle creatures who once lived who died naturally in nature. By hanging and displaying these skulls you are preserving the life of a beautiful animal who walks our land in the most calm and holiness fashion. Some cultures believe that by displaying the skulls throughout your home-  will bring life-long protection.

If that wasn't enough for me to fall in love with the tradition- maybe being the Taurus that I am would... Hope you all like what I create. XOXO

We all become caught up in our lives and forget to enjoy what life is-- take in nature, feel the grass breathe the air and enjoy your restored energy.

Wimberley surely remains the paradise for those who seek to find somewhere quiet and shaded.

A struggling artist who sought after his dreams and now lives here in San Antonio, continues to take his closest friends to the place where he found most of his inspiration. My best guy friend Jay took me here in the early Spring. I am so happy he did! Between San Antonio and Austin you can find this quiet beautiful place, where there is plenty to do, but especially relax and unWINE.

In Wimberley you have a list of activities that you can do- all while feeling the hospitality and charm from those who are locals.

Be sure to check out the list of activities you can do in Wimberley. A little head start on your visit would be to do the following.

Sit on the patio with good company at the beautifully designed Leaning Pear.

Visit the local wineries and boutiques (of course always coming back to The Southern Bunny as your fav.)

And my favorite--- do absolutely NOTHING... take a blanket find an open space and just take it all in.

Self-Love on a Sunday

Sunday— A day of worship, rest, and, most importantly a day to prepare for a new week. It’s an opportunity to leave the past week behind and have a fresh start, Monday. If you’re like me, you dread Monday and all that it brings. Nevertheless, we all have to face them.

Since school started I’ve been in a bit of a continuous routine and it started to wear on me quickly. So, being the problem solver I am, I came up with a solution and it was to -treat myself- for all the long days, busy schedules and craziness. I mean, who doesn’t enjoy a little R & R sometimes. From then on I decided it was time to throw some self-love in to my Sundays.

Today’s remedy was; church, and an afternoon at the Southern Bunny. Then, I splurged at Boudro’s on the river walk, and enjoyed a post-dinner treat at Lick Honest Ice Cream’s in the Pearl (per Jenn’s recommendation of course). Let me just tell you- Jesus, cute clothes, food, and sweets are a few of my favorite things!

My Sweet Company, Enjoying Some Sweets.

My Sweet Company, Enjoying Some Sweets.

As I sit here thinking about the past week and all the craziness, I start to wonder what are some ways I can recuperate on Sunday’s, and not just face Monday, but CONQUER it. So now it’s your turn to jump on the self-love ‘band wagon’ and I’m going to share a few tips that I came up with…

  • Feed the soul- eat something that you normally wouldn’t and don’t worry about those extra calories (for me it was some coconut & peaches ice cream from Lick).
  • Share the love- find someone to adventure with. It’s proven that there is power in numbers, and sweet company makes everything sweeter!
  • Look good while doing it- put something nice on for a day/night out! “Look good, feel good”… Isn’t that the motto? (Pro tip: Southern Bunny might just have your perfect ‘feel good’ outfit).
  • Enjoy only the good things- Empty all the stress from the past week and forget about it. Have an optimistic attitude on what’s to come.
  • Catch some Z’s- Get to bed early that night and give yourself a chance to make up for the sleep you probably won’t get during a busy week.

Whatever you do, do it, and do it well. Live with purpose and positivity- it will take you far!

XOXO- Miranda

East Austin Vibes

If you have been in the store lately, it is slowly undergoing a gardening change. Cacti are slowly showing up because of my new found love for them and the simplicity of them. In all aspects they are so simple and beautiful. Slowly but surely the boutique will become home of these prickly beauties and juicy succulents. A hidden gem was found, thanks to a customers husband who told me about it last weekend. With a trip already planned with my boyfriend to Austin we had to stop by. Let us not forget to mention... the Made For Love Set was dying for an opportunity to be photographed. Continue reading to learn about East Austin Succulents and how easy it is to care for a Cactus and Succulents and dress up your home/apartment. Why not bring a little southern charm and positive vibes into your home?

East Austin Succulents has about 3 Acres of Succulents, Cacti and Other Greens that to be honest with you- I would not have a clue of what they are or how to care for them. But, you know what I am a major fan of? A plant or flower you can allow to pretty much not pay attention to but stays beautiful. I have a fairly busy schedule... the last thing I want to try to remember is to water a plant. When they told me that I can let the plant die to stay alive- I said load em' up!

Succulents and Cacti are allowed to be either indoors or outdoors. Depending on the environment of your home or apartment will determine how much water they need. So far I have only been watering mine every 2 weeks. They need direct sunlight and every once a while they will need you to walk up to them and tell them how absolutely gorgeous they are. Pretty easy huh?

East Austin Succulents... a hidden gem, home to beautiful plants, super cool figurines, super adorbs photo opportunities, a killer air stream and this super rockin' girl who sports her gardening outfit so good that she made me want to go buy some Timberlands, gardening hat and hiking socks. This woman had no idea how beautiful she was in her own element.

I'm all about this place and more so all about spending my days off taking in the beauty of this place with my love.

The Oh So Pretty Pink Drink

What's the hype all about? The Starbucks Pink Drink!! I am a sucker for well photographed instagram photos... and !oh baby! does this drink look pretty!! Not only does it look super yummy and hard to actually drink because you just want to walk around with the cutie in hand all day, but it's also super delicious! What makes me more happy than a drink that is pretty, pink and delicious? That it's also not too bad on the calories as well. For a grande order you are drinking 130 calories. A lower calorie option than most Starbucks drinks.

Don't want to conform to the the Starbucks hype? Or maybe you are obsessed like I am and want this drink on hand... Not to worry!! Here is a super good recipe I found ( for you to make this pretty baby at home. Oh! and maybe, just maybe this recipe might be a little better than the drink itself and a fraction of the count- whopping in at 50 calories per serving.

(At Home) Pink Drink Recipe

Half a packet of Lipton Strawberry Acai Decaf Iced Green Tea Mix/Or Starbucks Brand

1/2 Cup of Hot Water

1/2 cup of Unsweetened Coconut Milk

1 cup ice cubes

1/4 cup freeze-dried strawberries

Pour about half of the tea mix packet into a tall glass.

Add 1/2 cup water, and stir to dissolve.

Add coconut milk, ice, and freeze-dried fruit. Stir until cold and well mixed.

Pink Drink!!
